No Gym Required Workout for Women

When you have a lack of time or money to join any fitness facility, your fitness and health goals don’t need to take a back seat!

It takes no equipment to get a great workout and get in shape. With only one or two pieces of simple equipment like resistance bands and dumbbells, you can turn that great workout into a fantastic one! Bonus — you can workout anywhere, wherever you are.

At Mobile Fitness HQ, we LOVE to create plans for moms and women over 40 — cause we are too! — that are “no gym required” training plans.

Here are some ideas for basic body weight exercises with no equipment whatsoever:

  • Pushups
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Chair Dips
  • Planks
  • Abdominal Crunches
  • Burpees
  • Isometrics
  • Plyometrics

And, below, are some ideas for minimal equipment that you can pretty much get anywhere:

  • Resistance Bands
  • Medicine Balls
  • Chinup or Pullup Bar
  • Kettlebells
  • Dumbbells

If you’re a beginner or just getting back into the swing of exercising, we suggest starting with body weight exercises (with short cardio warm ups before), and then slowly transitioning to a combination of body weight and weight training.
